Air Filter Service
Types of Air Filters
Most vehicles have two types of air filters, with both playing an important role in the drivability of your vehicle.
- Engine Air Filter: A clean engine air filter helps your engine function as it should and improves fuel efficiency. Because it keeps pollutants, dust, and unwanted particles out of the engine, it also lengthens its lifespan.
- Cabin Air Filter: Exhaust from vehicles driving around you is full of contaminants, which can end up in the vehicle's cabin if not caught by your air filter. A clean cabin filter is able to better cleanse the air in your vehicle, keeping you and your passengers breathing easy.
How Often Should You Replace Your Engine Air Filter?
Most manufacturers recommend replacing your engine air filter every 30,000 miles, or more frequently if you regularly drive in environments with a high level of contaminants.
How Often Should You Replace Your Cabin Air Filter?
Most manufacturers recommend changing your cabin air filter at least once per year, or every 15,000 miles, whichever comes first.
