Cabin Air Filter Service
Most vehicles have two types of air filters, one for the engine and one for the cabin. Both play an important role in the drivability of your car, but for different reasons.
Engine Air Filter
A clean engine air filter helps your engine function as it should and improves fuel efficiency. Because it keeps pollutants, dust, and unwanted particles out of the engine, it also lengthens its lifespan.
Most manufacturers recommend replacing your engine air filter every 30,000 miles, more frequently if you regularly drive in environments with lots of contaminants.
Cabin Air Filters
Exhaust from the cars driving around you is full of contaminants that end up in the cabin of your vehicle if they are not caught by your air filter. A clean cabin filter is able to better cleanse the air in your vehicle, keeping you and your passengers breathing easy. It can also capture airborne particles as small as two microns.
Most manufacturers recommend changing your cabin air filter once a year or every 15,000 miles.
